Practice yoga in beautiful surroundings with a fire burning in the oven and relax in the sauna with a view of the beach and the fjord. In the village below Norefjell, along the green banks of Krøderfjorden, lies Nedre Skinnes Farm. It is nestled on the west side of the fjord, between Krøderen and Noresund.
During our days together at Nord, we will align with the season and the rhythms of the Earth. We will move and strengthen our bodies with vinyasa yoga flows and slow down with more grounding, calming practices, all of them tailored especially for the seasons to come. We will circle around our mandala in Nord’s beautiful lavvo shala, communing through meditation, sound healing, song, mudra, pranayama and journaling exercises.
Mabon marks the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equal, making it a time of balance, equality and harmony. In ancient times Mabon was a celebration of the second harvest (Lughnasadh was the first). Modern Mabon celebrations are a time to give thanks for the abundance of Mother Earth - both literally and spiritually. It’s also a good time to reflect on the Wheel of the Year, recognizing your successes and letting go of the things that did not serve you during the past twelve months.
What you can expect
At this retreat, we will focus on the practice of MYSTICA Vinyasa and the season of Fall. Based on the pagan Wheel of the Year, each MYSTICA flow embraces the cycles of nature and is specifically tailored to each season, gently guiding the practitioner to re-align and reconnect with the rhythms of the Earth as we move through the Wheel of the Year. Our practice will include asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra, song, chants, journaling, card pulling, and chakra work. Finally, we will celebrate the harvest with a Mabon ceremony.
Over the course of the weekend, you will be nourished and sustained by a delicious array of vegetarian dishes and snacks based on seasonal vegetables, nuts, fruits, grains, beans, and rice, to name a few. All meals will be prepared by a former professional chef, promising a true feast for the senses.
Our time together will be an opportunity for you to step out of your everyday life and deepen your yoga practice in a safe and sacred space. Led by experienced teachers, you will hold space with your sisters. In a supportive group of other women, you can surrender and let go, achieving a level of profound relaxation that allows you to dive deeper into your true self.

WHO WE ARE
Sara is a certified yoga teacher who lives with her beloved dog in the heart of Oslo. She offers vinyasa-based yoga with creative sequencing that connects the breath and postures in a joyful flow. The result is a moving meditation that encourages you to find balance and inner silence. It is about building strength, not only in order to be able to do advanced postures, but simply to cope with our daily lives. It is about taking care of the self first in order to be able to take care of others.
Sara has been working with marketing and communications within the arts & culture field for many years, mainly with contemporary live art and in the music industry.
Anja Brinich is a Vinyasa yoga teacher (RYT-200) and entrepreneur who divides her time between Oslo, Norway and Lesvos, Greece. Through both its revelational philosophy and its physical aspects, yoga has helped Anja tap into a level of self-acceptance, discipline, and physical strength she never before thought possible, and it is now her heartfelt wish to help others to find similar peaceful empowerment. Her Vinyasa-and MYSTICA-based flows are fluid and frequently fiery, but she also savors slower practices.
In addition to her budding career as a yoga teacher, Anja is the sole proprietor of ALB Translations and a co-owner of Symposion, a cafe-used bookstore-cocktail bar in Molyvos, Greece.
Both Sara and Anja were members of the first graduating class of the MYSTICA Yoga School (2022).
